"Only after the last tree has been cut down, only after the last river has been poisoned, only after the last fish has been caught, then will you find that money cannot be eaten."

Cree Prophecy

Free For All Community Recycling was founded in 1999 by Kath and Dennis Graham and Peter Harding. Since it's inception, Free For All has grown and developed into an award winning, environmentally focused community group that is innovative in it's approach to recycling.

So what do we actually do?

Scrapstore

Free For All's scrap store holds stock of art and craft materials that have been rescued from the industrial waste stream.

Community Re>Paint

Community Re>Paint is a national scheme aimed at diverting leftover and unwanted household and trade paint from landfill, and making it available to charities, community groups and individuals who can use it.

Community Furniture

Free For All are occasionally offered quantities of office furniture such as desks and filing cabinets or schools furniture such as tables and stacking chairs for recycling. We aim to redistribute these to business and community group start-ups.

Recycled Arts Workshops

R.A.W.  is a new project that will provide a space and facilities to run recycled art workshops.  The workshops are for community participation, and will be organised to suit different age groups.  The aim of the project is to educate people about recycling through the creative process and increase the participants sense of well-being through hands on art and craft workshops.

Other projects

Many other projects have been run under the umbrella of Free For All, including the Doorstep Green Project, which converted an underused old waste site into a green and pleasant community park.  Currently we are also providing a home to Stepping Stones 2 Too, a new project which aims to provide meaningful community based activity and experience for Learning Disability groups, creating opportunities for social, life and key skills development which might facilitate entry into employment.
